Great game! Fix clogs and holes, grind meat, and dive beneath the blood rivers deep inside a flesh planet. I really liked the references on the propaganda posters.
The harpoon was a perfect blend of satisfying and silly. Would love to see what you make next!
I don't understand the choice of UE as the game engine for a PSX game, unless it's due to familiarity with the engine, but still.
It appears to me the game is also poorly optimized, as it has low framerate on my machine and makes its fan go like crazy, which, as the developer of Bloodthief said, is not something you'd expect from a game with such graphics, which could have negative impact on its reputation.
Another complaint, though subjective, is the fact the game uses a high resolution font and slaps it on PSX graphics, which can give off a certain vibe, as it did with me, but it could also throw some people off, so I'd make it a setting.
Kind of similar graphic issue, the elevator's lower grids' UV moves as they rotate when they open.
Speaking of that, the entire game is missing the settings. You can't lower the graphics level or even the volume of the game.
The credits are also unskippable, which i would understand if it's your first time completing the game, but not if you already played it or if you clicked the credits button yourself.
The lore is quite poorly developed. The main idea is there and is very promising, but the way it is formulated breaks immersion and makes the game appear less serious than it should be. Sure, it is supposed to have some humor, buti think it would be funnier (actually funny) if the game presented itself as serious and broke character once in a while. For example, there could be a grim introduction amd explanation of how The Colony needs the blood on Carrion Prime for sustainment but then in the ending have the protagonist celebrates with a Clot Dog without former introduction of it.
A last, small critique is that having the submersible cage lose power every single time instantly goes from scary to annoying.
However, the game is not as bad ad I made it appear to be. It's graphics are great and very good for the immersion. The dystopic setting, as aforementioned, has lots of potential. The gameplay loop is fine, though the SCaN system does not seem to have much use. The concept and the setting are great and the jumpscares are well executed both in timing and animation, though the bad ending scares less as it is telegraphed and fairly slow, which, don't get me wrong, does not make it bad. I'd give this game a 3.5/5
Your game looks cool but fails to launch on my machine, when I try to run the executable nothing seems to happen. There's not even a window that pops up or black screen or anything like that. Trying to run the program increases the CPU consumption of Windows Explorer for a few seconds before returning to normal and I don't see anything else pop up in the task manager.
I'm using Windows 10 with a GTX 1060 6gb GPU, AMD Phenom II X4 B95 CPU, and 8gb DDR3 RAM.
Is it possible that the game requires a newer instruction set my CPU doesn't support or do you think it's something else?
This game has my heart, the style is pretty unique and the gameplay is not like anything I've played before. I love the subtle story telling through the text that is given and I absolutely adore that this game has multiple endings. I'll leave my let's play down below, though I do recommend playing this game before giving my video a watch (plus I got only one of the multiple endings so you'll most likely have a different experience!)
P.S. Big thanks for the content creator pack, though I didn't use it I love that you support smaller creators who may not have the acquired skills to make thumbnails from the gameplay!
After checking out Rotting Railway I had to do Coagulation Station ASAP. It was quite fun and I really felt the stress of the timer!
Also I want to say thanks for the thumbnail resources, I don't know Photoshop very well, so the pngs of things let me mess around and learn a bit more.
This game was absolutely fantastic, I loved the simple look of the game merged with the textures and atmosphere which worked really well, I also love the fact that you made a content creator thumbnail pack which helped massively with thumbnailing, more devs need to do this :D Loved it and want to see more for sure.
This game combines so many great elements: knowing you are stranded and alone on an alien planet, knowing you have a limited amount of time to complete a task or you die, knowing SOMETHING lurks in the watery- er- bloody depths below.
I admittedly did get a bit frustrated and stuck for a while because I was too afraid of diving and (SPOILER) never went deep enough to find the body and therefore never found the key to the harpoon gun! And while there was a lot of notes and documents and posters to read, nothing ever gave me the hints I was desperately looking for. So perhaps a noted or two could be adjusted to point players in the right direction?
Regardless, this world of Carrion Prime and Clot Dogs is extremely cool and I would really love to see more of it. Maybe the next game can give us a glimpse of what earth has become?
The writing is a tad on the nose, and multiple playthroughs reveal just how scripted it all is, but the sound design for this is pretty good. The timer running out is a pretty cool event as well. However, I think the text simply being placed onto surfaces that it doesn't make much sense on doesn't look very good. It would make more sense for there to be screens, or more effort put into the animations of the displays if you wanted it to be analog/mechanical. Especially given that civilization is so advanced that space travel is a casual thing.
Loved this game. the gameplay was satisfying to know I was doing good and the lore was incredible but I was an idiot and didn't see the key at first overall good game
I saw everyone else doing it, so I thought Ill share my Video. A 3 parter, part 3 coming Soon.
This game is really cool. I had a blast playing it. It is tense, has a good background and to my knowledge, original. Working inside a living planet is a super cool idea. The game is well made, Couldn't find bugs or anything that effected the gameplay.
Only thing was the Jumpscare killed my ears while I was replaying to get a different ending. But that also made it scarier.
Thank you for a Cool game. I hope in the future, it becomes something more.
Definitely one of the most fun and scary games I have played in a little. It really hits hard on the fear of the deep sea for me because the diving part really had me on edge! 10/10 for sure!
I loved this game! Absolutely unique. I wish there was more but I don't even know what could be added to make it better! I enjoyed it that much. Fantastic work!
Okay so today I'm gonna be your guide to the good ending, this will skip any long videos you may have to watch just to possibly miss something skipping along. Please only continue reading if you've already played through the game once at least because ofc Spoiler territory ahead
Now just like normal, you're going to drop into the main control area, here i want you to continue like normal, start that pumps, fix any leaks or blockages that may occur, after a bit you'll have to take the diving cage to pipe A, continue as normal. but when pipeline B gets a major blockage? well this is where we deviate. Now you may have noticed on Cam B there's what looks like a possible crack... It's not. now go down the diving cage and remove the blockage now turn around, you may notice a really small tube that leads even deeper, once you get to i believe 80 meters or until the tube ends you will see [REDACTED] along side a key floating in the water, Take it. Now this is the REALY important part. Go to the surface, make your way back to the main control area and get yourself that premium harpoon gun you've been eyeing up. continue as normal until Pipe C gets a major blockage, go down fix it, after you fix it begin your ascent back to the surface but be sure to turn around with the cage controls to your back an-- [REDACTED DUE TO SUSPECTED FEAR MONGERING. Had a great time playing this game! Kept me on my toes the whole way and figured out the secret without searching it up lol. Also very sick how you have creator content for thumbnails!
a bloody great game! i really enjoyed myself, and the gameplay loop isn't boring whatsoever. i love the worldbuilding behind it, the art style, and want to know more about this world. for the company! kudos
Such a fun game. It's definitely a unique atmosphere and concept! Also it was totally worth it to try to find the secret good ending! I wish there was a mouse sensitive slider but other than that I have no gripes with the game. Perfect execution!
I LOVED this game Iron Lung vibes, I cant wait to see what else you make!! i played this in my 3 scary games video (number 2) and it did not disappoint at all please do play this and show this dev some love!
I will not even look at my own blood the same after this! I liked the whole "living planet" sci-fi story. It's a challenging game for sure, let alone the grotesque part of it. Well done!

Hey!
I was wondering if you’ll add other languages to your game, if needed I can help with the translation!
Sorry it took so long to get the video up. This one was special.
